Inn on Bourbon Selects LMS ResNet

Agilysys, Inc., a leading
provider of enterprise computer solutions and hospitality software
solutions, announced that Inn on Bourbon in New Orleans has selected the
LMS ResNet reservation system from Agilysys to provide ebusiness room
bookings for guests. The software integrates seamlessly with the LMS
property management system, which the hotel was already using. LMS ResNet is a Web-based real-time reservation system that allows
customers to check hotel room and rate availability, book reservations,
pay for a room with a credit card and receive an e-mail confirmation.
However, unlike many online reservation systems that require guests to
e-mail a request for a room and hotel staff to complete the actual
reservation process, LMS ResNet requires no staffing. Instead, all booking
is handled through the hotel’s own computer.

In setting up an online reservation system, guest convenience was the
hotel’s number one priority, said Lorna Danielson, hotel manager at the
Inn on Bourbon. “With LMS ResNet, guests can book reservations in a matter
of minutes.” What’s more, the system helps the hotel tap into a growing
market. “We’re now reaching people who prefer to conduct business online,
and that group is increasing all the time.”

“Guests at the Inn on Bourbon will now be able to book rooms online 24
hours a day using the same business rules that apply to calling a
traditional ‘800’ number,” said Bill Lashley, senior vice president and
general manager, Agilysys, Hospitality Solutions. “We are confident that
LMS ResNet will increase efficiency and value to the Inn on Bourbon’s
operations.”
