The 4 star independent hotel,
Kensington House, is the first London hotel to offer Smoovie Pay TV to its
guests. Voted the best New Technology Product of the Year at Hotelympia
2004, Smoovie Pay TV is a miniature remote control that the hotel guest
purchases at reception to provide access to all four movies channels for
24 hours of unrestricted viewing. There is also a special trailer channel
to show guests the movies that are showing. The remote is simple to use and allows complete privacy. The system is
fully compatible with all Philips TVs and the remote re-sets itself after
24 hours use in the hotel room, so the guest can take it home and use on
their own Philips TV set.

Smoovie Pay TV has only been in the hotel a short time but Operations
Manager, Samantha Fitzgerald reports that “the take-up is really good, our
guests are very enthusiastic and think the system is excellent”.
