BDL’s Newest Hotel Opens

Glasgow based BDL Hotel Group is
delighted to announce that its latest venture, the Express by Holiday
Inn Hemel Hempstead, is now officially open to the public. The 116
bedroom hotel is located on the site of a former John Dickinson
warehouse in the Apsley area of the town and represents and investment
of approximately £4.5million.Simon Smith, General Manager of the hotel, commented, “I am delighted
that we are ready to welcome our first paying guests to Express by
Holiday Inn Hemel Hempstead. We have enthusiastic staff, great
facilities, a superb location and good value rates, so I am confident
that we will become a popular choice for guests in the area.”

Express by Holiday Inn Hemel Hempstead is designed for business and
leisure travellers and has 116 guestrooms, each equipped with ensuite
power shower, modem points, direct dial telephone, satellite TV with
in-room movies, and tea/coffee making facilities. Rooms can accommodate
up to 2 adults and 2 children, and the standard room rate of just £79.95
per night includes complimentary continental breakfast. Accessible and
non-smoking rooms are available.

The hotel also features 4 Meet Smart conference rooms incorporating
natural daylight, blackout facilities and flexible layouts. The rooms
can accommodate up to 40 delegates theatre-style, making them perfect
for small meetings and conferences.

Additional facilities at the hotel include a licensed bar and
restaurant. There is also ample free car parking.

The 5 storey Express by Holiday Inn Hemel Hempstead cost approximately
£4.5 million and has created 14 new jobs in the town. Located just off
London Road, at Stationers Place, the hotel is just minutes from Apsley
train station and the Paper Trails Visitor Centre.
