JTB confirms that it is open for Meetings and Incentive business

The Jamaica Tourist Board (JTB) has confirmed that it is open for business and looks forward to welcoming more UK and European MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conventions and Events) business to the island in the near future. Recovery operations post Hurricane Ivan are well underway, and life and business are both returning to normal.
The JTB re-affirms its commitment to continuing its marketing emphasis to attract UK and European meetings and incentive business to capitalise on the growing trend of the Caribbean as a preferred long haul destination for these markets.

JTB Regional Director of Groups and Conventions, Marcia Bullock will spearhead this drive to position Jamaica as the preferred Caribbean destination for planners in the UK and Europe.

A number of initiatives will be rolled out over the coming months, including a series of fam trips, media campaigns, regional roadshows and the launch of a new
CD-Rom highlighting Jamaica’s MICE offer.
