ACRISS, (the Association of Car Rental Industry System
Standards) holds its annual conference on October 11th at
Heathrow.The association is well known and respected for its pioneering work
in developing car rental transaction and information standards,
especially for GDS-held information used by agents.

A primary subject for the conference’s afternoon Forum session is
the way in which new channels are handling the car rental
transaction, and the potential for creating customer service
problems and mismatches with consumer expectations. Having
carried out good work in co-operation with the GDSs, ACRISS is
keen to see that work built on within the online retailers and
brokers and within corporate self-booking tools.

The Conference which is being moderated by ABTECH Chairman
Graham Barnes, is an open event and there are a small number of
guest places available.
