Two New Openings for Golden Tulip Hotels

Golden Tulip Hotels, Inns & Resorts is proud to announce the signing of two additional new franchise contracts for the Golden Tulip Park Altis and the Golden Tulip Altis Suites, adding two new hotels with a total of 342 rooms to the groups’ portfolio in Lisbon, Portugal.
The two new Golden Tulips are managed by Altis Hotels, who also own the 303-room Golden Tulip Altis, a Golden Tulip since 1980.

The Golden Tulip Park Altis is located between the airport and the city centre and offers 300 rooms and suites, a restaurant and bar, a modern auditorium, 11 meeting rooms, which can host events for up to 550 delegates, as well as extensive leisure facilities such as tennis, golf, swimming and a gym in a nearby leisure club.

The Golden Tulip Altis Suites is located next to the Golden Tulip Hotel Altis and offers 42 suites. The apartments are equipped to offer long-stay visitors all the comfort and luxury they will need. Guests can also benefit from the services available at the next-door Golden Tulip Altis, such as the restaurants, bars, pool, health club, business centre and 24-hour room service.

Jose Maria Antunes, general manager of the Golden Tulip Altis, states: ” I am delighted that our whole group will now be marketed under one single brand, that is Golden Tulip. Our 24 year partnership with Golden Tulip for the Golden Tulip Altis has been successful and I am confident that expanding the brand to the whole group will have a very positive effect on the business and profile of all three hotels.”

Hans W.R. Kennedie, president & CEO of Golden Tulip Hotels, Inns & Resorts, adds: “I am very happy that we have expanded our portfolio in Lisbon with these two fine hotels. Golden Tulip’s strategy to team up with strong local partners such as Altis Hotels is a proven benefit in many markets. Altis Hotels is a renowned name in the Portuguese hospitality industry and the combination with Golden Tulip will give the hotels added value in the international market place.”
