Tensing Pen, one of Jamaica’s leading boutique resorts, was effected quite badly by Hurricane Ivan and as a result has had to shut it’s doors so that it can repair itself to its former glory. Speaking exclusively to Caribbean Travel News General Manager Nancy Beckham indicated that doors will be opening in November; “We are busy putting this place back together, but we are moving forward, and will even have some new surprises when we open again on November 11.” Nancy’s mood seems buoyant and encouraging. Nancy sat the storm out to look after the wonderful properties Ridgeback (dog) and reported that all of the staff were unhurt and their homes remained intact.

Beckham finished with a highly positive message for Tensing Pen; “This has in no way dented our spirit and in true Tensing Style we are expecting to continue the tradition of a fantastic winter season for 2005.”
