Cap Juluca to host "Today" wedding in U.S.A

17th Sep 2004

Viewers of NBC News’ “Today” Show voted Cap Juluca as the Destination Wedding locale for America’s favourite morning program’s fifth annual wedding. This is the first time the “Today” wedding will be held outside of New York City. Vows will be shared November 19, 2004 when the entire three-hour show will emanate from Cap Juluca and the island of Anguilla.
Some 219,000 viewers voted online for the four contending locations. Cap Juluca was the only Caribbean hotel in the running. The lucky couple, Nikki Hensley and Buddy Butler, are from Lexington, KY and were selected by viewers the previous week.

Each Wednesday leading up to the date the couple ties the knot, the show’s audience of some 6,200,000 will be presented with choices of many elements of the wedding for which they can vote, ranging from the choice of wedding gown to wedding cake, and more.
