Driftwood Bahamas will need three months to recoup from Ivan

Driftwood Bahamas Management has announced that one of its premier properties, the Crowne Plaza Golf Resort & Casino at the Royal Oasis, has already begun the recovery and refurbishment process after Hurricane Frances.Ê The resort, located in the heart of Grand Bahama Island, is currently closed and the restoration plan is estimated at three months.ÊAn official reopening date will be announced.Ê

The Category 3 storm hit Grand Bahama Island on Saturday, September 4 causing island-wide damage and loss of utilities. The resort’s executive staff ensured that all guests were safe in interior sections of the property during the storm, and now guests have left the island to return home.

Driftwood will work closely with the resort team to repair and refurbish the resort’s interior and exterior areas, returning this property to its 4-star experience as soon as possible.Ê
