Emirates Offers Greater Choice to Mauritius

Emirates, the Dubai-based international airline, will provide greater choice for British holidaymakers when it introduces First Class service on its flights from Dubai to Mauritius next month, with the arrival of a larger aircraft on the route. The new aircraft also will offer 100 more seats per week from the start of the busy Mauritius holiday season, thanks to a Business Class cabin with 80 per cent more seats.

From September 2nd, a Boeing 777-200 aircraft with a three-class configuration of 18 First, 49 Business and 236 Economy Class seats will replace the current two-class Airbus A330-200 with 27 seats in Business Class and 251 in Economy.

“The new equipment will enable us to meet the increasing customer demand for travel to this luxury destination,” said Vic Sheppard, Emirates Vice President, UK & Ireland, “and to meet the requirements of those passengersÊ who want to enjoy luxury service all the way to Mauritius.”

The schedule also enables convenient connections at Dubai International Airport of three hours or less on inbound services from all of Emirates’ five UK gateways of London Heathrow, London Gatwick, Birmingham, Manchester and Glasgow.

Return flights depart Mauritius at 2340, reaching Dubai at 0615 the next morning, with connections of under two hours to services to all of Emirates’ UK destinations.
