Flag Choice Hotels Adds Three Clarion

Flag Choice Hotels has added three top properties to its Sydney portfolio, bringing to 14 the number of hotels and serviced apartments it now offers in Australia’s major gateway.
The new properties include the Meriton Suites World Tower, a Clarion Collection Hotel, which became the tallest and largest serviced apartment building in Australia when it was opened by the Prime Minister late last year.

It joins the Meriton Suites Rialto, a Clarion Collection Hotel, in nearby Bathurst Street and Meriton Suites The Tiffany, a Clarion Collection Hotel, at Bondi Junction, to be marketed under Flag Choice Hotels’ prestigious Clarion Collection brand.

Flag Choice Hotels CEO Brent Russell said the three new Meriton properties added an extra 466 rooms to the group’s inventory of hotel and serviced apartments in Sydney.

“Meriton is a dynamic company that is tapping into growing demand for serviced apartments, and we are delighted to have formed a partnership with them,” Mr Russell said.

Meriton’s Managing Director Harry Triguboff said the move into serviced apartments seemed to be a natural progression for one of Australia’s largest developers.

“To make sure we are able to deliver first class hotel-quality service at the Meriton Suites World Tower, Meriton has set up a separate serviced apartment division, installed all the necessary back-of-house facilities at the property and set up in partnership with Choice Hotels, one of the world’s most professional hotel franchisor,” Mr Triguboff added.

Flag Choice Hotels is Australia’s largest franchisor of commercial accommodation in Australia, and the addition of the Meriton properties gives it strong representation across the four major forms of commercial accommodation - hotels, inns, resorts and serviced apartments.

The Meriton Suites World Tower, a Clarion Collection Hotel, offers 114 serviced apartments in a 75-storey tower at the corner of George and Liverpool Streets, Sydney. Features include luxurious two and three bedroom, self-contained apartments offering panoramic views and parking. The complex also boasts Australia’s highest swimming pool, a spa, gymnasium, golfing simulator, private theatrettes, meeting rooms and business centre. The Meriton Suites Rialto, a Clarion Collection Hotel, offers 172 studio, one, two and three bedroom serviced apartments at the corner of Pitt and Bathurst Streets offering spacious living and dining areas, gourmet kitchens, internal laundries, internet connection, cable TV and CD players, enclosed balconies, an indoor heated lap pool, business centre, gymnasium, sauna and spa.

The Meriton Suites The Tiffany, a Clarion Collection Hotel, is 12 months old and located in the heart of the thriving new Bondi Junction shopping precinct, with world famous Bondi Beach nearby. It offers 180 one, two or three bedroom apartments with Sydney Harbour or city skyline views.
