Continental Backs Up Competitive Low Fares

Citing confidence in its
competitive low fares, Continental Airlines today announced that it will
provide a challenge to its customers to find a lower fare for the same
itinerary on any airline at any internet travel site compared to what
customers can find on continental.com . “Continental offers competitive fares across our system and now we’re
backing up that claim,” said Mark Bergsrud, Continental’s vice president
marketing programs and distribution. “Continental.com is the most
convenient way to plan and book travel, offering competitive low fares, no
booking fees, 1,000 OnePass bonus miles and other time-saving functions
such as the ability to check-in and print boarding passes up to 24-hours
in advance of a flight.”

Continental is inviting its customers to compare fares at continental.com
for travel within the continental U.S. between Oct. 1 and Dec. 31, 2004,
with fares for the same itinerary on any airline at any other internet
travel site. Between now and Sept. 6, if a customer finds a lower
published retail fare on any airline for the same itinerary, Continental
will send the customer an eCertificate valid for up to 10-percent off
future tickets for a Continental flight purchased at continental.com .

To qualify, customers must register at continental.com under the “Fall is
in the Air” program. eCertificates are valid off any published fare for
travel through Nov. 15, 2005. Certain fares are ineligible for fare
comparison. More details on this promotion may be found at
continental.com/For/Fall .
