PrimaPoker.com Choose Hermitage for ‘Monte Carlo Millions’

PrimaPoker.com announced this week that Monte Carlo Millions, the world’s most exclusive poker tournament, will be held November 6-13 at the Hotel Hermitage
in Monte Carlo. This marks the first poker tournament ever to be held in the fairytale setting of Monte Carlo, Monaco.During the week-long event, the best professional poker players, A-list celebrities and PrimaPoker.com satellite winners will compete for an estimated prize pool of $1,000,000. Matt Savage, poker powerhouse and tournament director for the last three consecutive World Series’ of Poker, will direct the Monte Carlo Millions, adding to its star power. PrimaPoker.com is the sole sponsor of the tournament.

Over the past year, the ‘Poker Phenomenon’ has hit global headlines, with a host of A-List stars and celebrities becoming passionate players.  From Ben Affleck to Zac Goldsmith, from Mimi Rogers to Sarah Jessica Parker, the wealthiest and most famous around the globe are playing both for big money prize pools, and straightforward fun.

Seats at the Monte Carlo Millions are acquired in only one of two ways: by invitation from Matt Savage, or through a PrimaPoker.com satellite. Satellites began on June 21st and will last until October and will include free-roll tournaments. Past PrimaPoker.com satellite winners include Florida resident Rose Richie, the last woman standing at this year’s World Series of Poker.  Richie won her chance to compete in the 2004 WSOP on PrimaPoker.com.  She vows that the skills she developed playing online enabled her to outperform many of the professional players she went up against.  Richie placed an amazing 98th out of a field of more than 2,500, parlaying a $22 investment into $20,000.

Treated like royalty, Monte Carlo Millions satellite winners will receive a $20,000 package, including round-trip airfare for two to Monte Carlo, a 7-night stay at the exclusive Hotel Hermitage, meals at gourmet restaurants, a $14,000 buy-in to the Monte Carlo Millions Tournament and a guided tour of the French Riviera. The tournament will take place at the Cafe de Paris’ Bellevue Room, with its spectacular 360-degree view of Monte Carlo and the Mediterranean Sea.

Another first in poker history, PrimaPoker.com will hold a separate tournament for all players who do not make the final table, in which every participant will win a cash prize.
