Taj Palace Dubai Tops in Videoconferencing Business

Since introducing its travel-less meeting concept last year to the corporate market in Dubai and the United Arab Emirates, Taj Palace Dubai  has garnered the most number of videoconferencing business from top corporate clienteles. One amongst the few hotels offering this high-tech and complex service, Taj Palace Dubai has so far facilitated more videoconference meetings than its competition. This is largely due to the technical expertise available in handling this service as well as the competitive rates offered which comes in various packages.
After its modest launch in Dubai in August 2003, the Taj Palace Dubai has made its video conferencing rate more affordable to allow small companies and individual users greater access to the service and its facilities. From a starting launch offer of U$ 800 last year for an hour usage; 2004’s rate has been standardized at AED 500 per hour (approx. U$137) with an additional fixed fee of AED 1000 (approx. U$274) for use of Taj Platinum room rental. The introduction this year of the reduced rates has resulted to increased attraction for regional companies who are able to do travel-less meetings and conferences. Among the popular users of videoconferencing facilities in Dubai are companies engaged in human resource recruitment and multinational companies with intra-regional presence requiring regular monthly meetings.

General Manager Yannick Poupon exclaimed, “We have put in considerable investment to make our hotel’s meeting and conferencing facilities the best in town. We are equipped with premium top-of-the-line products ensuring quality to the most discerning business guests. Our Taj Platinum room where videoconference meeting is held has built-in videoconferencing equipment with ISDN online connection ready for use by guests anytime. Because of this installation structure Taj guests have easy access without having to make their videoconferencing booking ahead of time. Our motto is simple…You book, we connect!.”

The TAJ Platinum room can seat up to 25 people in a room altogether while conducting travel-less meeting via video on screen. Spearheading the campaign to promote the popular use of videoconferencing concept in conducting meetings, Michael Kasch, Director of Food & Beverage added, “we are promulgating the increased usage of this important facility because this will soon revolutionize the way companies or people conduct meetings in this country. The Taj Palace Dubai banquets & meetings team are constantly innovating ways to increase the awareness on this subject by encouraging companies and individuals through formulation of attractive meeting rate packages not readily matched by any competition.”
