American Airlines has
made it easy for more customers to book their airfare online with new
international credit card acceptance at http://www.aa.com/ . Now,
customers living in select Latin American countries and the Caribbean can
reserve and purchase tickets at AA.com with a locally issued credit card,
instead of having to call American or go to a ticket office. This new
feature is available to customers with a credit card billing address in
the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada or one of the following
countries in the Americas:—Antigua—Argentina—Aruba—Barbados—Belize—Bolivia—
Brazil—Chile—Colombia—Costa Rica—Curacao—Dominican Republic
—El Salvador—Ecuador—Guatemala—Grenada—Haiti—Honduras—
Jamaica—Mexico—Nicaragua—Paraguay—Peru—Panama—St. Kitts
and Nevis—St. Lucia—Trinidad—Uruguay—Venezuela

“Ninety percent of our customers who reside in Latin America have locally
issued credit cards,” said Peter Vittori, Managing Director - Latin
America/Mexico/Caribbean Sales at American. “We’re reaching out to those
customers with a convenient and direct way to purchase great fares and the
ability to book at AA.com on their own schedule. As an added benefit,
customers who book at AA.com pay no online booking fee and earn up to
1,000 AAdvantage(R) bonus miles.”

Travelers will be able to use their American Express, Diners Club,
Discover/Novus, MasterCard, Visa, American Airlines Credit Card(SM),
Bartercard, Carte Blanche, JCB and their Universal Air Travel Plan Card to
purchase tickets at AA.com.

In addition to standard revenue tickets, eligible customers also can book
award travel and pay for any applicable fees and taxes with their locally

All reservations will be priced in U.S. dollars, and customers do not need
to be an AAdvantage member to purchase tickets at AA.com. Nonresidents of
the aforementioned countries may book travel on AA.com and hold for
purchase at an airport or American Airlines ticket office.
