Amadeus Taps Indonesian Tourism Potential

Amadeus Indonesia was officially launched yesterday in a move by Amadeus to increase its investment in key Asia Pacific markets.  Mr. David Brett, President, Amadeus Asia Pacific, said, “We have invested significantly in building up our regional service network over the past 12 months, including US$1.8 million invested in Indonesia this year alone.”  He added, “Combining global strength in partnership with local expertise, Amadeus can now deliver world-class customer service and support, and the full range of tailored travel management solutions offering the latest technology in Indonesia.”

He went on to say that Indonesia, Asia Pacific’s seventh largest tourism destination , ahead of leading markets Australia, Japan, India and Korea, is a key component of Amadeus’ strategy to develop the most comprehensive regional travel service network for the travel & tourism industry in Asia Pacific.
Staffed by a team of 17 professionals in two offices (Jakarta & Surabaya), Amadeus Indonesia is in the process of building an infrastructure capable of delivering the best service of its kind in the market.

Mr. Lesmana Hartanto, Director, Amadeus Indonesia, said, “In an increasingly competitive market environment we realise that service quality will be one of the most important differentiators.  We expect to grow market share supported by first class service levels, a strategy which Amadeus had used to great success across the region.”

He added, “We have been overwhelmed by the response to our entry.  We look forward to building upon these relationships, and to delivering technology solutions within a competitive environment, enabling success within the Indonesian travel & tourism industry.”
