Travelport Partners with Frontier Airlines

Travelport Corporate Solutions
has signed an agreement with Frontier Airlines to provide business travelers with discounts of up to 10 percent off Frontier’s published fares when they book their travel through Travelport. The reduced airfares are offered directly and seamlessly, enabling business travelers to make quick, easy - and affordable - selections and purchases.“At Travelport, we are committed to offering our customers the most compelling travel content at the lowest prices possible, and this agreement with Frontier is testament to that effort,” said Travelport Chief Operating Officer, Kurt Ekert. “Frontier is clearly a leader in delivering high quality service and value in air travel, which makes our partnership a natural fit because we share their passion for providing today’s business travelers with the best rates, routes, and unbeatable service.”

As announced at the National Business Travel Association’s annual conference and trade show in Orlando, Frontier’s discounted fares are now available to all Travelport customers who use the company’s “end-to-end” package of business-travel services that includes online booking, access to Galileo’s global distribution system, fulfillment and customer support - all from a single, owned source.

With the addition of this new customer benefit, Travelport becomes one of only two business-travel providers offering Frontier discounts to its corporate customers. Frontier provides service to more than 43 destinations in 24 states across the U.S., and 5 cities in Mexico.  The agreement between Travelport and Frontier is effective immediately.

“Frontier is pleased to partner with Travelport to bring our everyday low fares to corporate customers,” said Greg Aretakis, vice president of Planning and Revenue Management.  “At Frontier, we are committed to giving business customers the best access to our great schedules and great prices, plus perks that business travelers demand, such as our award-winning EarlyReturns frequent flyer program that offers an industry-low 15,000 mile free ticket redemption level.”

“The relationship Travelport has forged with Frontier speaks to the power of Cendant’s worldwide travel distribution capabilities,” Ekert continued. “Leading suppliers like Frontier recognize that by teaming with one of the largest and most diverse travel distribution experts, their fares and discounts will be marketed professionally by a company committed not only to serving business travelers, but to being a global leader in the business travel sector. Likewise, we realize that we need to use the strength of our platform to work with the best suppliers in the business such as Frontier.”

According to Ekert, the addition of this newest benefit for Travelport’s end-to-end customers comes on the heels of the launch of new, market-leading capabilities for its online booking engine, making it the most flexible and efficient tool available for business travel. Recently introduced features are available to all Travelport customers who use its online booking product, either in combination with Galileo or other global distribution systems (GDSs), or as part of Travelport’s end-to-end business-travel services, including integrated Web fares and key enhancements to its unmatched policy-management tools.
