JLLH Announces Vice President Promotions

Jones Lang LaSalle Hotels has promoted three team members across the Americas region, recognizing its executives who have shown outstanding achievement. In New York, Thomas Fisher was promoted to executive vice president. In Miami, Christian Charre was promoted to senior vice president. In San Francisco, Anwar Elgonemy was promoted to vice president.  “Each of these individuals have made considerable contributions to the firm and have demonstrated the ability to provide our clients with exceptional advice and a consistently high level of service,” said Art Adler, CEO and managing director of the Americas region of Jones Lang LaSalle Hotels. 

During the first half of 2004, Jones Lang LaSalle Hotels - Americas closed fully one third of all single asset transactions over $10 million in North and Latin America. “These promotions reflect Tom, Christian and Anwar’s success in achieving extraordinary results for our clients and also demonstrates Jones Lang LaSalle Hotels’ commitment to developing and retaining top talent,” Adler said.

Thomas Fisher, executive vice president, has been involved in the sale and/or financing of over $1.5 billion of hotel and lodging assets throughout North America since he joined the firm in 1996. Recent transactions of note include the sale of the Hyatt Regency Capitol Hill, Washington, D.C., Caneel Bay Resort in St. John, USVI, InterContinental Central Park South, New York, New York and the financing of the Sheraton Reston Hotel in Reston, Virginia.

Christian Charre, senior vice president, is currently responsible for the asset management of the Westin Diplomat Resort and the Diplomat Country Club & Spa in Hollywood on behalf of a pension fund as well as expanding services of the firm in the Southeast United States, the Caribbean and Latin America. Christian recently oversaw the sale of three Club Med resorts in Mexico. As a hotel specialist, Christian has over 25 years of hospitality experience and has been involved in various hotels, resorts and mixed-use dispositions worldwide for the last eight years.

Anwar Elgonemy, vice president, represents the firm in the San Francisco Bay Area and is active in lodging sector advisory, debt placements and transactions for the firm. He has over 10 years of hotel investment experience throughout the Bay Area and Northern California. Born in Italy, Anwar speaks five languages and has worked on three continents.
