Embassy Suites Hotel Set for Loveland
Mr. John Q. Hammons today announced his plans to build a $35-million,
250-suite Embassy Suites Hotel and adjoining 80,000-square-foot convention
center in Loveland, Colo. Only 40 minutes from Denver International
Airport via E-470, the Embassy Suites Hotel - Loveland and convention
center will be located on the southwest corner of the 243-acre Larimer
County Fairgrounds property, which is north of U.S. 34 at the intersection
of Interstate 25 and Crossroads Boulevard. The hotel and convention center
will be owned by Mr. John Q. Hammons and managed by Springfield, Mo.-based
John Q. Hammons Hotels, Inc. , the nation’s leading independent builder,
developer, owner and manager of upscale, full-service hotels, resorts and
suites. “A quality, full-service hotel has always been a part of the master plan
for the Larimer County Fairgrounds,” said Jay Hardy, director of the
Larimer County Fairgrounds and Events Complex. “Mr. Hammons’ plan to build
the Embassy Suites in Larimer County complements our goal of ensuring the
success of business operations at the fairgrounds and guaranteeing our
ability to fully service incoming events and customers.”
Conveniently situated in Larimer County, the Embassy Suites Hotel -
Loveland marks the fourth full-service hotel Mr. Hammons has built along
the Colorado front range and complements the company’s portfolio of 60
hotels.
“Loveland is one of the fastest-growing metropolitan cities in the country
and has something to offer for everyone who lives in or visits its
thriving community,” said Mr. John Q. Hammons, founder, chairman and chief
executive officer of John Q. Hammons Hotels, Inc. “We have built a strong
relationship with Larimer County and the city of Loveland, and we support
their commitment to cultivate this ever-growing community. With a variety
of businesses, historical attributes, major attractions and cities
surrounding its perimeters, the Larimer County Fairground location is an
ideal site for an upscale hotel that can accommodate both small and large
groups. I am confident the Embassy Suites Hotel - Loveland will complement
the continued growth Loveland is experiencing and will ultimately serve as
the premier hotel in the area.”
Due to its short distance from major cities, including Denver, Ft.
Collins, Windsor and Greeley, as well as its location just immediately
southeast of the Ft. Collins Loveland Airport, the property is also an
ideal lodging choice for both business and leisure travelers. In addition,
the adjoining 80,000-square-foot convention center combined with the
hotel’s more than 8,000 square feet of meeting space, makes the Embassy
Suites Hotel - Loveland a perfect venue for lavish weddings, celebrations,
as well as corporate meetings and conferences.
“John Q. Hammons Hotels is known for its high caliber properties, and we
eagerly await the completion and opening of the Embassy Suites in Larimer
County,” said Kathay Rennels, chair of the Larimer County Board of
Commissioners. “The Larimer County Fairgrounds has become a popular
regional gathering place, so Mr. Hammons’ convention center hotel will
help with the increased need for hotel rooms and meeting space, as well as
continue the high level of quality that was visualized for the fairgrounds
from the start.”
