Continental Offers Free Presidents Club Wireless

Continental Airlines today
announced that it is offering free wireless Internet access in all of its
Presidents Clubs in the United States, except at Chicago where it shares a
club with Northwest Airlines. The company expects to expand the service to
its international clubs by the end of 2004. The service, powered by Cisco Systems network equipment, enables any
Presidents Club member with a 802.11b Wi-Fi enabled computer or client
card to access the Internet from anywhere in the club. Continental will
have informational handouts available to help members log in to the
service.

“Our members want to stay connected at all times during their travel,”
said a Continental spokesperson. “The free Wi-Fi service in our clubs
complements Verizon Airfone’s JetConnect service onboard the aircraft and
gives members the ability to stay in touch on the ground and in the air.”
