The Atlantic to Welcome First Guests
The spectacular shores of Fort Lauderdale will become even more breathtaking with the official opening of the area’s first luxury condominium hotel - The Atlantic, a 124-suite resort managed by Starwood Hotels & Resorts as the newest addition to The Luxury Collection. The Atlantic is the first of three Starwood projects slated to open on the beach in Fort Lauderdale.
“Starwoood’s Luxury Collection is known for impeccable service and the kind of personal attention guests expect from a world-class hotel,” said Stephen Alden, senior vice president, The Luxury Collection. “Not only will condominium owners of The Atlantic enjoy a level of comfort that exceeds their expectations, but the hotel will offer affluent travelers the rare opportunity to experience the ultimate in luxury at The Atlantic.
“The Atlantic will help redefine Fort Lauderdale as an upscale destination and attract a niche demographic,” said Daniel J. Melk, owner of The Atlantic. “With the opening of The Atlantic and its signature restaurant, Trina, we will enhance the beach area and add to the growing luxury market in Broward County.”
The 15-story tiered Mediterranean-style hotel features 124 luxuriously appointed oceanfront studios and suites including five penthouses. Add a sumptuous European Spa, world-class concierge service, 24-hour doorman and valet, boardroom facilities, business center, state-of-the-art fitness center, swimming pool with majestic views - all with whispers of the ocean tide beyond.
Guests will be pampered at the opulent Spa Atlantic with an array of signature treatments using ingredients indigenous to South Florida including a Smoothing Marine Body Mask, Tangerine Body Gloss, Deep Sea Facial and full menu of services. A full-service salon and boutique complements the spa.
Further adding to the luxury experience is the signature restaurant Trina, a concept brought to The Atlantic by celebrated New York restaurateurs Don Pintabona, former executive chef of Tribeca Grill and Nick Mautone, former managing partner of Gramercy Tavern. The 130-seat restaurant will feature one-of-a-kind Mediterranean dishes with extraordinarily fresh seafood and ingredients. Trina Lounge will also offer an equally dynamic beverage program to complement the dining experience. The Atlantic’s poolside bar, Spuma, overlooks the ocean and offers a menu of sparkling cocktails.
