Cathay Pacific Airways passengers can shop for some of the very latest audio and video equipment to be delivered to their door - all from the comfort of their seat inflight.
From 1 July, Cathay Pacific will add Plasma and LCD TVs, home theatre systems, digital video cameras and massage lounge chairs to its inflight sales catalogue, Shop.
Some of the items, including the latest model of Panasonic 42” Plasma TV TH-42PA30 and DVD Home Theatre System SC-HT928 will themselves only become available on the market from 1 July.
Passengers simply need hand a completed order form to a member of the cabin crew and after successful credit card transaction the item will be delivered free of charge to their Hong Kong address.
Cathay Pacific will be teaming up with in this new venture with Shun Hing, a well-established Hong Kong distributor of top electronic brands.
Cathay Pacific Inflight Sales and Amenities Manager Anna Cheung said: “Through the co-operation with Shun Hing, we are very pleased to offer passengers additional choices in our inflight sales catalogue. Passengers can enjoy shopping in the air as much as they do on the ground. They can even send it as a gift to their families and friends during their journey.”
Cathay Pacific’s inflight retail service offers a wide range of products ranging from best-selling fragrances, cosmetics, skincare, watches, jewellery, accessories and toys, to Hong Kong souvenirs, spirits, tobacco and Cathay Pacific memorabilia.
