Mercator Systems Support Kuwait Airways

Mercator booking and check-in systems have been adopted by Kuwait Airways, enabling the carrier to offer its customers a smooth, trouble-free travel experience.
The new systems supplied and successfully implemented by the Emirates Group’s IT division give Kuwait Airways access to solutions that customers expect from a quality airline.

The airline has migrated to Mercator’s MARS Airline Reservation System and MACS Airport Control System to meet the needs of customers and optimise revenue.

MARS provides booking management, schedule and seat inventory control, fare formulation and ticketing. MACS lets the carrier check in customers swiftly and efficiently, manage baggage handling prior to take-off, streamline airport procedures and improve productivity.

His Highness Sheikh Talal Mubarak Al-Sabah, Director General, Kuwait Airways, said: “Thanks to Mercator we have more variety to offer our passengers, and can deliver a truly world-class service.

“The implementation was completed ahead of schedule and under budget, and we’re now ready to enjoy the benefits with our customers.”

Joshua Koshy, Mercator’s Senior Vice President IT, said: “MARS and MACS will lay the firmest of foundations for Kuwait Airways’ ambitious growth plans, and offer customers a smooth ride all the way through, from check-in to aircraft.

“Coupled with significant improvements in customer service, they will help put the airline on a fast track to even greater success.”
