Cosmopolitan Hotel Set to Open Late Summer

The Cosmopolitan Hotel, uniquely located on the historical site of the former Xin Hua News Agency, opens later this September in Wan Chai, introducing a series of new attractions for discerning travellers.For example, guests can enjoy a whole variety of entertainment in some form or another around the clock, throughout the hotel.

General Manager, Andrew Ooi said: “Consumers have more money but less time today.  They demand value, convenience and, in many cases, entertainment!”

“Our hotel has prioritized entertainment, installing a number of plasma screens airing all major channels in public areas.  We will also offer live musical entertainment - from classical to contemporary - in different areas of the hotel, as well as colourful family shows on weekends and public holidays.”

Guests dining in the Cosmo Cafe will be able to enjoy updated news bulletins and other programmes from plasmas located around the room, while the Yan Chinese Restaurant will have a number of mahjong rooms for people to enjoy this traditional Chinese pastime.

Other special features include revolutionary “heavenly” beds which ensure a restful sleep and a broad selection of different pillows for maximum comfort.

The Cosmopolitan has 455 contemporary design guest rooms and 20 suites, most with panoramic views of the city skyline, Happy Valley or Causeway Bay. 

Each is fully equipped with broadband Internet access, voice mail, IDD telephone service and electronic safes as well as coffee and tea making facilities, remote-control television, satellite TV programs, cable TV and minibar. 

Furthermore, guests checking into one of the 20 elegant suites will enjoy a fun surprise - each suite is designed along a specific “theme” for a special WOW!  effect.
