AmericInn Lodging System to Install MICROS

MICROS Systems, Inc. , a
leading provider of information technology solutions for the hospitality
industry, and AmericInn International, LLC a privately owned hospitality
company, announced that the AmericInn Lodging System will install the
MICROS OPERA Xpress Property Management System (PMS) and MICROS OPERA
Customer Information System (OCIS). Installations are already underway and
are expected to be complete in all properties by June 1, 2006. AmericInn is an upscale limited service lodging chain that is popular with
business and leisure travelers because of spacious, well-appointed public
areas, guest rooms built for a quiet night’s sleep, and the uniform
architecture and signature amenities. The company expects to develop new
properties nationwide in small to medium-sized communities, along highways
and interstates, in resort destinations and in large cities.

When AmericInn decided to standardize on a single property management
system, AmericInn International, LLC sought an advanced technology that
would enhance operational efficiency and profit potential for each of the
company’s franchise locations. After an extensive evaluation, AmericInn
International, LLC selected OPERA Xpress PMS because it allows them to
exchange real-time room reservations and sales data between the AmericInn
Central Reservation System (CRS) and each AmericInn location. “With our
aggressive growth strategy, we felt it was necessary for all our locations
to be able to access an integrated property management system. And MICROS,
with its notable ability to centralize guest data across many different
properties and locations, offered us exactly what we needed,” noted Mark
Nicpon, CIO, of AmericInn International, LLC. “The OPERA OCIS supports our
objectives as well, because it enables us to consolidate reports,
providing corporate management with a broad, yet deep, picture of all the
properties, at the same time profiling guests from all AmericInn
locations.”

“MICROS OPERA Xpress PMS is the perfect solution for a centralized multi-
property franchised system, such as AmericInn. It combines the flexibility
needed for a franchise system, and the centralization needed for a major
hospitality chain,” noted Desmond Parker, Sr. Vice President, Hotel Sales,
for MICROS. “We are thrilled to continue to support AmericInn’s strategic
growth objectives with our solution.”
