Mexicana Airlines announced today that as of July 1st, 2004, it would
launch daily non-stop service between JFK Airport and Mexico City.
Mexicana Airlines, recognized as one of the most experienced carriers in
the world, is also considered to have one of the youngest and most modern
fleets worldwide.Mexicana’s flights will be code shared with American Airlines using Airbus
A319 jet aircraft with the following schedule: JFK - Mexico City daily
departures at 18:30 arriving at Mexico City at 22:10; Mexico City - New
York with daily departures at 10:45, arriving JFK at 16:25. This schedule
will permit travelers originating from Europe and Asia to connect easily
with Mexicana on their journey to Mexico. Additionally for passengers who
need to travel beyond Mexico City, Mexicana is promoting as an
introductory offer (1) a free one-night stay at the Airport Fiesta Inn in
Mexico City. This will enable passengers to arrive early at their final
destination. This offer will also be of great benefit to business
travelers providing them with a comfortable night rest to get a jumpstart
for their early meetings in Mexico City.
Mexicana’s modern aircraft will be based at Terminal Four located in the
center of Kennedy airport, a key advantage for Mexicana passengers with
connecting flights when arriving into JFK from international flights or
other domestic gateways in the United States/Canada. This centrally
located terminal also contains a large number of world carriers and offers
travelers an extensive ground transportation system within JFK (AirTrain),
and between Manhattan.
Additionally, with the code share agreement between Mexicana and American
Airlines, passengers will receive benefits from their respective frequent
flyer programs, AAdvantage and Frecuenta, access to their VIP Lounges, and
seamless travel that includes a one-time check-in process from the
passenger’s point of origin to his/her final destination.
Mexicana Airlines will also be offering as an introductory promotion (1) a
6,000-mile enrollment bonus for new Frecuenta members with the purchase of
a ticket from New York to Mexico. New Frecuenta members can take a hold of
this promotion by either registering through http://www.mexicana.com or by

“Mexicana Airlines continuously strives to improve its products for its
passengers. Changing our location to JFK airport will be of great
advantage to business executives as well as our passengers that travel for
pleasure and cultural enrichment. We are sure that these operations
to/from JFK Airport will generate numerous benefits for everyone,”
commented Emilio Romano, chief executive officer for Mexicana.

configuration that offers passengers great comfort and convenience with
ample seats in its Executive Class Cabin. This aircraft has the capacity
of 120 seats (12 Executive Class and 108 Tourist Class) and is very
ecological for its low fuel consumption, which permits non-stop flights to
operate at a long range.

6,000-mile enrollment bonus for new Frecuenta members only applies to
passengers originating from JFK. For further information contact Mexicana
