Pinnacle Announce Lake Charles Resort Casino

On June 15, Pinnacle
Entertainment, Inc. officially announced the name of its Lake Charles
project: L’Auberge du Lac Hotel & Casino. French for “The Inn on the
Lake,” the name was chosen to reflect Louisiana’s unique heritage and the
property’s beautiful setting. L’Auberge will provide a unique addition to the Louisiana gaming market.
Inspired by the architecture of both Southwest Louisiana and the Texas
Hill country, the resort will feature a large, single-level casino, over
700 guestrooms and suites, several high quality restaurants, extensive
meeting and entertainment space, a lavish pool area, a luxurious spa, and
a championship golf course designed by world-renowned golf architect Tom
Fazio.

“L’Auberge will be Southwest Louisiana’s first and only gaming resort
where you’ll experience unparalleled services and amenities in an exciting
Las Vegas-like atmosphere,” said Alain Uboldi, general manager of the
property and Pinnacle’s regional vice-president. “It will be very
different from what visitors to Southwest Louisiana have experienced in
the past.”

Scheduled to open in Spring 2005, L’Auberge is being built on 227 acres of
land off the I-210 loop in Lake Charles, Louisiana. A live webcam of the
work in progress can be accessed at the Company’s corporate website at
