The Stratosphere Casino Hotel and
Tower is pairing with Los Angeles’ KBIG 104.3 FM to host the “pre-Disco
Fever 3-D Launch Party” in the Stratosphere Tower on Saturday, June 19,
announced Stratosphere officials. “KBIG’s annual Disco Fever Concert in August is one of the biggest parties
of the summer in Los Angeles. For those who couldn’t wait they decided to
take the launch party on the road,” said Tony Bender, director of
advertising for the Stratosphere Casino Hotel and Tower. “Los Angeles is
one of the Stratosphere’s biggest feeder markets, so why bring a few
promotional winners when you can bring the whole party?” he added.

KBIG’s Disco Saturday Night, a 70s flashback radio program, is Southern
California’s top rated weekend radio program. The “pre-Disco Fever 3-D
Launch Party” will be a disco-themed party and live broadcast, allowing
disco fans from Los Angeles and Las Vegas to boogie the night away. Level
108 and Level 109 of the Tower, the indoor and outdoor decks respectively,
will be transformed into a disco wonderland with retro decorations, disco
dancers, cash bars and snacks including a chocolate fountain. Attendees
are encouraged to wear their grooviest disco attire. Admission will also
include unlimited rides on the Stratosphere’s Big Shot, High Roller and X
Scream thrill rides. The event will be broadcast live in Los Angeles.

The party lasts from 9 p.m. until 3 a.m. and is open to the public.

“Disco Fever 3-D” will be held on Saturday, August 14 at the Greek Theatre
in Los Angeles. This year’s line-up is scheduled to include KC & the
Sunshine Band, the Village People, the Trammps, Evelyn “Champagne” King
