Luxe Hotels Expands Asia Pacific Presence

Luxe Worldwide Hotels President and
CEO, Efrem Harkham, announced the expansion of their presence in the Asian
Pacific market with the opening of two new offices. The regional offices
in Singapore and Hong Kong will increase the number of Luxe offices in the
Asia Pacific region to four, joining those in Tokyo and Sydney. There are
a total of 11 Luxe regional offices worldwide.
Two veteran hospitality industry executives have been appointed to oversee
the Asia Pacific region. Lucas Peng will serve as Managing Director-Asia
and Christine Toguchi as Executive Director-Asia. Currently, both
executives are based in Luxe’s new Singapore office.

“Our Asian operations will be solidly upgraded by Lucas Peng, who brings
21 years of experience in hotel marketing, central reservation systems
technology, and call center services to our organization,” noted Harkham.
He added, “Christine Toguchi’s extensive background in marketing, training
and consulting for the travel and hospitality industries will greatly
enhance our global management team resources.”

The addition of the currently operational Singapore office and Hong Kong
office, to open in late summer 2004, illustrates Luxe’s commitment to a
widely increased presence in the Asian Pacific market. Harkham pointed to
Luxe plans for expansion in the area, indicating, “We want to bring more
of our unique combination of quality of product, customer care, worldwide
marketing, and eBusiness technology to this part of the world. We believe
we have much to offer the Asian Pacific hospitality industry. Our systems
are proven to increase revenues and add global visibility to independent
hotels.”
