bmibaby Proves the Best "on time" Choice to Scotland

Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) figures have confirmed that bmibaby was the most punctual airline operating flights between the Nottingham EMA and both Edinburgh and Glasgow in the first quarter of 2004. The statistics also show that bmibaby, which was the most punctual carrier overall throughout 2003 between Nottingham EMA and Edinburgh and Glasgow, is incurring the shortest delays of any airline.

Today (Wednesday 9th June) bmibaby becomes the only operator to serve Glasgow from Nottingham EMA. A route which the airline has also outperformed its low cost rival on in the first quarter of 2004, continuing its record from 2003 when bmibaby was named as the most punctual carrier on the route.

Tony Davis, managing director of bmibaby said:

“The statistics prove that we offer the best service in the Midlands in terms of on time departures on our Scottish routes. We carry a large number of business travellers on our Edinburgh and Glasgow services and we’re aware that the punctuality of our flights is key for arranging meetings and working to tight schedules. The latest figures prove why we’re now the leading carrier to Scotland from the Midlands and the only carrier to operate flights to Glasgow from Nottingham East Midlands Airport.”

From 29 June bmibaby will increase the number of flights between Nottingham East Midlands and Glasgow to three times daily. The airline currently operates twice daily between Nottingham East Midlands and Glasgow and Nottingham East Midlands and three times daily departures between Nottingham East Midlands and Edinburgh.
