US Airways to offer non-stop from NY - Aruba

It has been confirmed that US Airways is launching a brand-new non-stop flight from New York’s La Guardia Airport to the Caribbean island of Aruba. The new service takes off on June 12, 2004 and operates on Saturdays departing from LaGuardia Airport at 7:30 AM and arriving in Aruba at 12:01. The return flight departs Aruba at 1:15 PM, and arrives in New York at 5:46 PM.The brand-new air service offers benefits to those travelling from New York to Aruba, marking the first time any carrier has flown nonstop from the New York airport to Aruba.

“We have a very strong partnership with US Airways. We are very happy to hear that they are adding brand-new air service to meet the needs of our potential visitors from New York,” said Minister of Tourism and Transportation Edison Briesen.  “New York is our most significant market and we are always very pleased about any changes that will make it more convenient for travelers from New York to get to our island.”

Leo, US Airways vice president - international and sales.  “With nonstop service from Charlotte, Philadelphia, Boston and now New York, travelers across the East Coast have convenient access to the island.”
