Flight Centre UK has appointed Shane Parlato as marketing
manager.Shane joins from Flight Centre in New Zealand where he was marketing
manager for two years.
Based in the company’s New Malden head office, Shane heads up a team of 6
and is responsible for marketing, advertising and publications for the
company’s three brands in the UK, Flight Centre, Student Flights and
Shane joined Flight Centre in 1998 as a travel consultant in Queensland,
Australia. He quickly moved up through the ranks and was promoted to
marketing manager for Student Flights in 1999, moving to the company’s
headquarters in Brisbane.
In June 2002 he moved back to his native New Zealand to head up Flight
Centre’s marketing operations. Shane reports to Grant Theobald, commercial
and marketing director for Flight Centre UK.
Flight Centre (UK) Limited is part of Flight Centre Limited, one of the
world’s leading travel retailers. The company operates more than 1,200
stores in the UK, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, USA, Canada and
Hong Kong, specialising in the sale of discount international airfares,
