New spa opens in Ireland

In July 2004, The Aghadoe Heights Hotel in Co Kerry will launch the first Aveda Concept Destination Spa in Ireland. Combat stress in Greece

The Aldemar Royal Mare Village & Thalasso, has added to its variety of treatments a new, unusual and innovative type of massage, the Shirogriva massage for head, face and shoulders.Ê This new technique was invented by massage experts in Europe by fusing the oriental concepts to a more European approach to massage. Each session lasts for 50 minutes and is divided into three parts. In the first part massage movements are applied through the fingertips, the palm and the thumbs of the specialist on a clean and dry skin. During the second part of the session the moves are repeated but with the use of apricot oil as well. Finally for the last 5 minutes of the session the guest is left alone in the cabin to relax with cotton pads soaked in a chamomile infusion placed upon the eyes.
