4oceans Signs Singapore Deal

4oceans, the electronic distribution specialist,
has signed an agreement with Singapore-based hotel reservations company
Accglo for its multi-lingual ResCentral booking system.

The agreement with 4oceans now provides Accglo with access to over 50,000
hotels worldwide, including over 1,500 in the growth market of China, while
allowing the company to add individually negotiated rates from hotels in
Singapore and South East Asia.

Joal Teo, managing director of Accglo, said: “The economic success of China
over the last 10 years has resulted in significant changes in travel
patterns, with far more two-way travel.  Combined with the recent pick up in
the South East Asian economy, Accglo recognised a gap in the business market
for an online hotel booking system that provides instant bookings and global
coverage.

“We looked at a number of different options, but 4oceans provided the most
comprehensive, user-friendly platform, combined with a strong presence in
both Europe and Asia - key areas for our target customers.  The performance
of ResCentral allows us to provide a fast, online service for corporate
travellers, while providing us with detailed management reports to aid
future business planning.”

ResCentral provides real time availability at all hotels, giving instant
access to all promotional rates, together with immediate booking
confirmations and guaranteed reservations.

The advanced features of ResCentral allow Accglo to access detailed booking
information, while also managing commissions; assisting revenue management;
reporting on room night spend by company and individual; and managing
allocation contracts.  The online access provided by ResCentral allows
operations and management staff to access key data and services from any
location that offers a simple Internet connection, at any time.

Cho Wong, Business Development Director Asia at 4oceans, added: “The 4oceans
platform provides a cost-effective, flexible solution to companies looking
to enhance their global hotel product offering.  With Singapore playing a
key role at the heart of the ASEAN market, Accglo is ideally placed to
service business travellers within the ASEAN countries, outbound to and
inbound from China and the rest of the world.

“With ResCentral Accglo will be able to add and manage individual hotel
rates it negotiates with local hotels, while ensuring comprehensive coverage
in both China and Europe where it recognises a growing demand for business
travel.”
