Mandarin Oriental, Miami Unveils Second Presidential Suite

Mandarin Oriental, Miami, the 327-room urban resort situated on exclusive Brickell Key, debuts a second presidential suite to complement its line of 31 opulent and spacious suites.  “We have seen an increase in occupancy and demand for our Oriental Suite (Presidential Suite) from celebrities and executives from around the world,” said Jorge Gonzalez, general manager. “Our new Mandarin Suite (second Presidential Suite) was designed to offer a choice for our guests seeking the ultimate in luxury and accommodation.  The suite provides a highly personalised experience, with its own luxury spa haven for total pampering pleasure.”
The Mandarin Suite - 2,000 square-feet of heavenly indulgence, features a master bedroom and bath, beautifully appointed living room with bamboo hardwood floors, formal dining room, gourmet kitchen and large private balcony accessible from every room.
The suite’s most unique and outstanding feature is a spa “serenity room,” a one-of-a-kind sanctuary offering the ultimate in-suite spa experience.  This spa oasis provides a tranquil Zen-like environment with warm colour tones, bamboo accents and Mexican river stones accented by Spanish marble tile and a breathtaking view of Biscayne Bay.
The spa serenity room features Japanese-style Tatami mats for lounging and enjoying afternoon tea, an infinity-edge soaking bath with colour therapy lighting and tear drop ceiling fountain and
relaxation area with glass-enclosed steam shower, white-cushioned teak bench and ESPA spa amenities, salts, body and bath oils. A self-tinting privacy window provides for total relaxation and seclusion.
The highly-skilled therapists from the award-winning Spa at Mandarin Oriental, Miami can perform spa treatments in the Mandarin Suite.  Priority spa reservations are available and a personal spa therapist is on call 24 hours a day. Guests can choose from an extensive menu of treatment rituals including Balinese Synchronized Massage, Mandarin Hot Stone Therapy, Aromatherapy Facial, Thai Massage and Shiatsu.
Spa Butlers are also on hand to arrange lavish bath rituals in the Mandarin Suite’s signature infinity-edge bath, which features a floor-to-ceiling window providing dramatic views for bathers. Guests can sip on calming tea while enjoying one of six therapeutic aromatherapy baths. Spa Butlers will set extra touches of aromatherapy candles, rose petals and soothing music for ultimate tranquillity.

The one-bedroom Mandarin Suite (can be converted to two or three bedrooms upon request) is decorated with an Asian flair by Henriksen Design Associates of Venice Beach, California.  With warm orange-toned fabrics and rich textures of silk and crushed velvet, the suite exudes a comfortable, residential feel with a contemporary design.

The master bedroom with an understated modern style features a 42-inch plasma TV, walk-in closet and sliding glass door providing dramatic views of the bay. The large master bath boasts a free standing tub, oversized rainwater shower and personal television.

The fully-equipped kitchen is perfect for entertaining with family and friends. The kitchen features a marble bar with natural oak cushioned chairs, rice-paper style sliding door, custom designed wine cabinets and an array of the latest gourmet gadgets. Special arrangements can be made for Mandarin Oriental’s talented culinary team to prepare elaborate meals for guests to savour in the formal dining room.  Private cooking classes can also be arranged.

Other highlights of the $5,000 per night Mandarin Suite include two plasma televisions with DVD player and surround-sound systems, CD player, high speed internet and fax capabilities, two-line speaker phones and cordless phone, unique artwork, plush robes and slippers, Frette linens and Molton Brown amenities.
