Top executives from Emirates, the award-winning Dubai-based international airline, flew to Vienna this week to celebrate the start of the new direct air link between the two cities. Ghaith Al Ghaith, the airline’s Executive Vice-President Commercial Operations Worldwide, briefed media on the new service.

There to help him cut the traditional Austrian welcome cake was Herbert Kaufmann, CEO of Vienna Airport. The two are seen here during the welcome ceremony.

Emirates already flies non-stop between Dubai and Vienna four times a week and will boost its service to daily from 15th June.
