Ramesys has announced a contract to provide Worldspan
with a customised version of its SABS Agent product.
The solution, branded Worldspan Viewdata Select, is the result of over 12 months of development and has been created specifically for the Irish market. Worldspan’s 320 agencies in Northern and Southern Ireland will be given the option to take the solution, which will allow them to disperse with legacy viewdata equipment.
Agents can access Worldspan Viewdata Select without the need for any additional Worldspan technology, with the solution radically improving productivity on holiday searches and sales.
Worldspan Viewdata Select allows agents to perform multiple searches of over seven million holidays and flights in real-time, view live information from up to four tour operators’ viewdata systems simultaneously, compare prices and display additional content such as maps and destination guides, and link to supplier sites. Depending on level of bookings made on WS, agents will be able to take Worldspan Viewdata Select free of charge.
Agents in Ireland who upgrade to Worldspan’s new IP plaform Worldspan GO version 4, will have the option of being able to access Worldspan Viewdata select. Agents will additionally be offered a full IP viewdata system at no extra cost, which will enable them to access viewdata from any PC, anywhere in the world.
Further Worldspan products which will feature on the system include My Trip and More, Worldspan’s innovative website, providing travellers with secure access to travel itineraries booked with Worldspan agents; Total Rates, which displays all low-cost carrier and Worldspan fares on a single screen, and Worldspanferry, an interactive ferry booking product.
Brian Staunton, country manager at Worldspan commented: “We decided to upgrade all our agency customers to our new IP platform ‘Worldspan Go Version 4’, and considered a number of solutions providers to support this.
