Delta Air Lines Plans Flights to Vietnam

Delta Air Lines today
announced that the Civil Aviation Administration of Vietnam has approved
Delta’s application to place its code on SkyTeam partner Korean Air
flights from Korea to Vietnam effective May 1, 2004. Delta will place its code on Korean Air flights from Incheon to Hanoi and
Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. Additionally, Delta currently has its code on
SkyTeam Partner Air France flights from Paris Charles de Gaulle
International Airport to Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi, Vietnam.

In making the announcement, Paul G. Matsen, Delta’s senior vice president
- International and Alliances, said, “Delta continues to respond to its
customers by providing them with more options to fly from anywhere to
everywhere via Delta and our SkyTeam partners. This opportunity to travel
either via Incheon or Paris to Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi underscores one
of the major advantages of an alliance like SkyTeam.”

Top-tier fliers on each of the alliance airlines automatically attain
SkyTeam Elite and Elite Plus status, which can be exchanged for rewards
(such as tickets on any SkyTeam airline). SkyTeam Elite members receive
priority waitlist for reservations and at the airport, as well as separate
check-in.

Customers with Elite Plus status qualify for those benefits as well as
guaranteed economy-class reservations, priority baggage handling, and
access to more than 300 SkyTeam airport lounges for their international
trips, regardless of travel class.

Delta places its code on Korean Air transpacific flights between Atlanta,
New York (JFK), Los Angeles, Washington (Dulles), Dallas/Fort Worth,
Chicago, Honolulu, Anchorage and San Francisco and Seoul (Incheon), South
Korea, and between Los Angeles and Narita, Japan. Delta also places its
codes on Korean Air flights beyond Seoul to Busan within Korea, 12
destinations within Japan, Hong Kong, Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur, Mumbai and
Auckland.
