Ron Droegmyer Appointed GM of Grand Lido Braco

proudly announces the appointment of Ron Droegmyer as general manager of
Grand Lido Braco.  Droegmyer took the helm at the Jamaican AAA Four-Diamond
resort on January 6, 2004.Says, John Issa, executive chairman of SuperClubs, “Ron not only sets high
goals for himself, resort staff and management teams, he also has an
uncanny knack for consistently exceeding guest expectations.”
With over 20 years experience at high profile resorts and hotels, Droegmyer
has built a strong track record in such areas as guest services, customer
satisfaction, staff training and employee motivation.
On graduating with a B.S. in Hotel Administration from Florida International
University in1980, Droegmyer launched his career with the Mariner
Corporation, first at the Brazosport Hilton in Texas (1982-1983) and then at
the Sheraton Century Center in Georgia (1983-1984).  He founded and managed
the Hotel Colorado in Glenwood Springs, Colorado, for two years before
serving as general manager of United Inns in North Austin, Texas.  For The
Continental Companies, Droegmyer held managerial positions at Cross Keys Inn
(1988-1990); at Jerome, a Grand Bay Hotel (1990-1992), and at Olympia Resort
& Conference Center (1988-1994).
In 1994, Droegmyer appeared on the Jamaican hotel scene as general manager
at the Wyndham Kingston Hotel, where he was named “International General
Manager of the Year.”  After four years in Jamaica, he left for the Wyndham
Miami Beach Resort.  In 2000, Droegmyer served as a management consultant
for the Roney Palace Beach Resort, Holiday Inn and Grove Isle Resort, before
taking the helm at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Atlanta in 2002.
“For much of my career, my focus has been on relaunching properties as well
as on boosting occupancy rates and sales,” Ron Droegmyer adds.  “It’s great
to come back to Jamaica.  I’m looking forward to joining the team at this
successful, well-established resort.”
