Delta Air Lines will award 500 bonus miles for first-time in-flight food
and drink purchases when using the Delta SkyMiles Credit Card or the Delta
SkyMiles Business Credit Card from American Express between April 1 and
July 31, 2004.
“SkyMiles members now have the opportunity to earn miles toward award
travel when purchasing high-quality meals and snacks on Delta flights,”
said Christine Pierce, Delta’s director of Partnership Marketing. “The
Delta SkyMiles Credit Card offers customers an extra bonus for first-time
food purchases and a convenient payment method while in flight.”

Delta’s in-flight menu features a variety of appetizing options for
breakfast, lunch and dinner, as well as snacks from Dean & Deluca(R),
Atlanta Bread Company(R), Nabisco(R), and Frito-Lay(R). Delta offers
bagels for breakfast, sandwiches and salads for lunch and dinner, cookies
for dessert, and a variety of snacks. Selections for the health conscious
include a fruit plate, Tomazzarella salad and Savorings(TM) trail mix.
Specialty drinks available for purchase include beer, wine and assorted
mixed drinks.

These and other menu items are available for purchase in coach class on
more than 228 Delta flights daily throughout the United States.

Delta provides convenient in-flight payment methods for customers,
including both credit card and cash options for purchasing products. Using
hand-held cash management technology, Delta makes receipts available to
customers for their onboard purchases. The in-flight food service,
convenient payment methods and additional bonus miles are designed to
enhance all Delta passengers’ flight experience.

Delta SkyMiles program members earn miles by flying Delta, Song, Delta
Shuttle, Delta Connection, Delta AirElite and Delta’s worldwide partners,
including the airlines’ SkyTeam partners. The program offers additional
mileage-building opportunities through SkyMiles partners such as the Delta
SkyMiles Credit Card from American Express, AT&T telecommunication
services, EarthLink Internet services, participating hotels, car rental
companies, restaurants, floral purchases and financial, mortgage and
