Delta Air Lines Announces New Vice President

Today, Delta Air Lines announced the appointment of Steve Scheper as vice
president of its Reservation Sales and Customer Care division. Scheper’s
previous position was managing director—Reservation Sales—North
“Steve has the right skill set for this job and a great outlook for the
future of the call center business,” said Lee Macenczak, senior vice
president—Sales and Distribution. “With the rapid change happening in
our environment today, Steve has the tools and talent to develop our
vision of a world class call center.”

Scheper began his career at Delta in Cincinnati in 1988 and has worked in
various areas in Delta’s marketing division. His most recent position
before joining Reservation Sales and Customer Care was managing director
of Delta’s online channel, , which generated more than $1
billion in sales in each of the past three years under his leadership. The
site also averaged more than six million unique online visitors each month.

“Steve knows how to serve Delta customers,” said Macenczak. “And, we’re
looking forward to the great work he’ll do for customers and employees
alike in his new position.”

Reservation Sales and Customer Care generated more than 80 million
customer phone contacts in 2003 and brought in more than $2 million in
