The Georgian Hotel announced today it is embarking upon a million dollar renovation which is scheduled to begin March 2004 and to be completed by early summer. The project will update the current Art Deco decor by introducing modern elements which will create an even more luxurious atmosphere for hotel guests. The project includes both renovations of the exterior and interior parts of the hotel. The outside will be repainted a vibrant aqua and the current canopy will be replaced with a sleek beige and black awning. The signature furniture outside will remain the same but a tile floor will be added on the veranda. “These changes will bring a classic and modern touch to the outside of the hotel that will complement the existing Art Deco decor,” says GM Paul Hortobagyi.
The renovation will modernize the interior of the hotel, creating more comfort in each room and beautifying the lobby. All guest rooms will be updated with brand new goose down comforters and larger TV’s. The upper level floors will also have plush carpeting and modern artwork installed and soft, soothing color will highlight the hallways. The meeting rooms, staircase and lobby will all feature new carpet designs. The lobby’s “facelift” will focus on creating a warm and inviting entrance. Fresh paint and modern artwork will be highlighted by elegant new light fixtures. “Customer satisfaction has always been our main priority at the Georgian,” says Hortobagyi, “the changes made during this latest renovation will only ensure that each guest’s stay is filled with luxury, comfort and lasting memories!”
