In a superb deal and agreement Starwood Hotels and Resorts, (under its Sheraton banner), will construct and manage the flagship property at San Juan’s new convention centre, which is penned to open next year. Comprising of 500-rooms the US$175 million hotel is projected to open in 2007. Starwood succeeded in beating Hyatt and Marriott to the position at this prime location.
