Introducing Dolce Vita at The Oriental, Singapore

  Diners can savour a new dining experience with the opening this month of Dolce Vita at The Oriental, Singapore and its enticing mélange of Italian and Mediterranean cuisine.Situated on level 5 of the hotel, Dolce Vita is enclosed with Mediterranean-inspired doors that showcase stunning views of landscaped gardens and the Singapore harbour. With its Mediterranean design, the restaurant’s décor features white timber walls and ceilings with intricate design features that give the restaurant a chic look. Soft furnishing touches, in hues of rust copper and brown, include woven raw hide leather chairs and rustic terracotta pots. A vibrant elevated show kitchen with its stone façade is incorporated into the restaurant design and will be a focal point. The designer of Dolce Vita is H.L.Lim from LTW Design Works.


Open for lunch and dinner, Dolce Vita provides both al fresco and indoor dining options.  Sous Chef Edward Voon and his team have created such delights as Mediterranean Tarte, Black Cod Casserole, Sea Bass Chermoula, Lamb Shank Tadjine and a selection of grills from land and sea.


Chef Voon has won several prestigious awards including a gold medal at Food & Hotel Asia in 1996, a finalist in the New Asia Seafood Creation Competition in 1996 and a silver medal at Food & Hotel Asia in 2002.


If diners prefer something that is not on the menu, Chef Voon can create personalized dishes based on available ingredients, thus adding a personal touch to their dining experience.


A concoction of healthy and delicious spa cuisine is also available to complement guests’ spa treatments at The Oriental Spa, which is located next to Dolce Vita. Low in fat, cholesterol and calories, fresh seasonal ingredients and healthy cooking methods are used to enhance the flavours of each dish.

Dolce Vita is the perfect venue for a power lunch, a lively dinner or a leisurely dinner before strolling across to Esplanade for an evening performance. Open seven days a week, opening hours are as follows: lunch from 11 am - 12:30 noon; a snack menu from 2:30pm - 6:30pm; dinner from 6:30pm to 10 pm. The new signature restaurant is located adjacent to the swimming pool and was formerly known as Pronto.
