Discover the World Marketing officially opened an office in Belgium to
handle sales and marketing representation in Benelux (Belgium, Netherlands
and Luxembourg) for its client Hyatt Hotels & Resorts on March 1, 2004.
“Discover the World Marketing had been successfully supporting this region
from our office in Paris,” said Derek Shanks, president of Discover the
World Marketing. “But with increased development in Belgium and France, we
found it necessary to expand our presence by opening a dedicated office in
Belgium.”

Philippe Durieux, who will head the new Discover the World Marketing
office in Brussels, has nearly 15 years of travel industry experience in
the Benelux area. In his career, Durieux has handled sales and marketing
for Delta Airlines, CSA - Czech Airlines, Sky Europe Airlines, United
Airlines and Best Western International in the region.
