Antony Treston Appointed at Conrad Co.Kilkenny

Antony Treston has been appointed General Manager of the Mount Juliet Conrad, Co. Kilkenny, Ireland, reporting to Clem Barter, President of Conrad Hotels.

Antony Treston was promoted from the Conrad Centennial Singapore, where he held the position of Resident Manager since 1998. He joined the Conrad Centennial Singapore in 1996, initially recruited as Executive Assistant Manager - Rooms. During his time in Singapore the hotel won the prestigious Hotel of the Year 2002 award, presented by the Singapore Tourism Board. Prior to Singapore, Treston worked in London for fine properties such as the Browns hotel and the St. James Court hotel.

In his new role, Treston manages and oversees the development of the award-winning Mount Juliet Conrad, a 58-room fine leisure resort situated on a 1,500 acre traditional Irish sporting estate.

A keen horse rider and passionate about the outdoors, Treston and his family are delighted about their new home in Ireland. Treston, 43, who also has family roots in Ireland, is married and has two children.

Antony Treston was appointed in replacement of previous General Manager, Andrew Phelan, who is now pursuing other interests.
