Kerzner Appoints Richard Levine as General Counsel

  Kerzner International Limited have announced that Richard Levine will join the Company as Executive Vice President and General Counsel. Levine, 42, will begin his duties on April 5, 2004 and will report directly to Kerzner CEO Butch Kerzner. Levine was most recently General Counsel with Hellman & Friedman, LLC, a private equity firm in San Francisco, California.

In his role with Kerzner, Levine will be responsible for the direction and management of the Company’s overall legal affairs, and will be actively involved as a member of the executive management team in designing and structuring transactions, and leading negotiations surrounding acquisitions, financings and other transactions related to the growth of Kerzner worldwide.

He brings a wealth of experience to Kerzner, and his strong transactional expertise, as well as a respected background in legal, regulatory and compliance matters, will position him as a key executive in our company,” commented Butch Kerzner.

Levine has over 15 years of legal experience with extensive focus in cross-border mergers and acquisitions and joint ventures. Prior to joining Kerzner, Richard managed and oversaw all aspects of transactional, regulatory, litigation and compliance matters for Hellman & Friedman, LLC. He also had responsibility for all SEC reporting and compliance matters, including the enforcement of the firm’s personal trading policy. Richard participates on NASDAQ’s Listening and Hearing Review Council, the advisory body to NASDAQ’s board that reviews all proposed policies and regulations and acts as an appeals board for listings and delistings. Accordingly, he has significant experience advising and complying with Sarbanes-Oxley and related exchange rules.

Before joining Hellman & Friedman, Richard served as General Counsel for the Private Equity Division of Credit Suisse First Boston in New York, where he oversaw all investments made by the division. Mr. Levine was previously Assistant General Counsel of TELE-TV, a multimedia joint venture among Bell Atlantic, NYNEX and Pacific Telesis, and an Associate in the New York and Tokyo offices of Cleary, Gottlieb, Steen & Hamilton. Mr. Levine graduated from Dartmouth College and Cornell Law School.
