Debuting as a one-stop portal for global information and resources on hospitality and travel sales and marketing topics, the Hospitality Sales & Marketing Association International (HSMAI) announces the launch of eConnect.
The first-ever, all-encompassing, online source for information, research, contacts and best practices, eConnect is an HSMAI Foundation program hosted by the University of Houston’s Conrad N. Hilton College.
Created as an online repository for information on and research into today’s most important industry issues, the site’s resources are organized into six key subject areas, the content of which is continuously updated:
1. Resources for Customer Market Segments and Business Development (members only)
2. E-Commerce Resources (members only)
3. Leading Travel Industry Companies and Organizations
4. Periodicals, Magazines and Journals
5. Research and Trends (members only)
6. Professional Development and Bookstore (members only)
“We wanted to create a comprehensive database that would serve as a ‘go-to place’ for hospitality sales and marketing professionals for reference materials and articles, as well as tools and information to help them be more effective, productive and competitive at any stage of their career,” states Robert A. Gilbert, CHME, CHA, president and CEO of HSMAI.
“Designating a portion of the site as ‘members only’ serves as an HSMAI member benefit, further adding to the value proposition and our commitment to being the leading organization providing education and information to the industry and profession,” he adds.

Each resource, whether it is a web site, research report, or publication, is summarized with a paragraph describing the resource and its relevance;
Customer market segment overviews written by industry experts and detailed information for selling to each market;
Sample job description and business forms;
Full text articles from the HSMAI Marketing Review, with table of contents descriptions;
All resources searchable by section;
