Ted, the new low-fare service from United, expanded its service in Florida
today, with flights between Tampa International Airport and Denver. Ted
offers Tampa-area travelers a new, affordable way to fly. Ted will offer
three daily roundtrips between Tampa and Denver. From Denver, customers
will be able to connect on more than 120 United, United Express and Ted
flights to the West Coast.
In addition to Tampa, Ted offers service from Denver to Las Vegas, Reno,
New Orleans, Ft. Lauderdale and Ontario, Cal.; and between San Francisco
and Las Vegas. By the end of March, Ted also will offer service between
Los Angeles (LAX) and Las Vegas; from Denver to Orlando and Phoenix; and
between San Francisco and Phoenix. Beginning April 7, Ted will offer
service from Washington-Dulles to Las Vegas, Ft. Lauderdale, Tampa and
Orlando.

“This is an exciting day for Ted as we expand our service from Denver to
include Tampa, an important market for us,” said Sean Donohue, vice
president of Ted. “We are very pleased to now offer service to both Ft.
Lauderdale and Tampa, with Orlando service scheduled to begin later this
month.”

The relaxed and friendly Ted experience combines low fares with
outstanding service. In addition to more simplified, low fares, Ted offers
pre-assigned seats and exclusive onboard entertainment, dubbed
“Tedevision” and “Tedtunes.” Tedevision features a variety of programming
in keeping with Ted’s relaxed personality, including hit television shows
such as Friends, Scrubs, and My Wife and Kids; music videos from chart
toppers Jason Mraz, Coldplay and Liz Phair; and segments from Jay Leno,
Conan O’Brien and the Carson Daly show. Tedtunes features 15 channels of
music ranging from Latin, dance, club and easy listening to kids’ tunes.
Offering something for everyone, featured artists include Sarah McLachlan,
Seal, Martina McBride and Outkast.

In addition to complimentary beverage service, Ted’s favorite premium
beverages—Foster’s Lager and margaritas—and food items are available
for purchase on board. Ted customers on Tampa flights will enjoy food
a-la-carte style from Bennigan’s On the Go, offering a range of items
including Salmon Caesar Salad, the County Cork Club sandwich and Atkins
Advantage bars for the carb conscious.

Ted also recently introduced TedClub, part of United’s award-winning
Mileage Plus program. TedClub members can earn and redeem miles in all the
same ways Mileage Plus members do, across all of United’s offerings—
United, United Express, Ted and Star Alliance.
