American Adds More Flights From New York to West Coast

American Airlines is making it easier to hop to the West Coast—and the
Caribbean and Florida as well—with additional flights from the New York
area beginning in the spring and summer.
Effective May 1, American will add one daily nonstop from New York’s
Kennedy Airport to San Francisco, giving it five daily trips in that
market. On June 10, American will add a second daily nonstop from JFK to
Seattle.

In the Caribbean, American will reinstate seasonal service from JFK to
Kingston, Jamaica, with one daily round trip, and add flights from JFK to
Caracas, Venezuela, and to Santo Domingo and Santiago, Dominican Republic.
All will be effective July 1.

To Florida, American will add one additional flight from New York’s
LaGuardia Airport to Orlando, effective June 10. In addition, service from
LaGuardia to Miami will increase by one flight per day, effective July 1.

One additional destination from LaGuardia will also see a change in
schedule this spring. Effective May 1, all service to St. Louis will be
operated with “More Room Throughout Coach” Super 80 jets that carry 129
passengers. American will offer five daily Super 80 flights between
LaGuardia and St. Louis.

“These additional flights build on American’s commitment to give our
customers what they value—in this case, lots of flights to lots of
destinations,” said Tom Gleason, American’s regional vice president-sales
for the Eastern Division. “And no matter where you’re going on American,
you’ll get a great low fare and have the opportunity to earn and redeem
AAdvantage frequent flyer miles. That makes travel on American a
tremendous overall value.”
